Membership Payment Terms and Conditions

Membership Dues

• Membership dues are determined annually by the Board of Directors and are subject to change. Monthly payment options are available for most membership levels, subject to an agreed payment schedule. Promotional rates and student/youth discounts may apply, as outlined in our membership materials.
• Payment is required in full at the time of registration or renewal unless an installment plan is agreed upon.

Payment Methods

• Payments may be made via credit card, debit card, or electronic funds transfer through our secure online portal. Specific terms apply to corporate partnership payments, including payment schedules and sponsorship agreements, which must be adhered to as outlined in partnership contracts. Event ticket purchases are non-refundable unless the event is canceled by Proud of Wichita, Inc. Refund requests for other reasons will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
• Alternative payment methods (e.g., EFT) must be approved by Proud of Wichita, Inc.

Refund Policy

• Membership dues are non-refundable except in cases of billing errors or duplicate payments. Event ticket purchases are non-refundable unless otherwise specified for a particular event. Refund requests due to exceptional circumstances will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Membership upgrades can be requested at any time with payment of the pro-rated difference in dues. Downgrades are permitted during the renewal period only and will take effect at the start of the next membership term.
• Requests for refunds must be submitted in writing to the Chamber within 30 days of payment.

Late Payments and Cancellations

• Memberships not renewed by the due date may be suspended or canceled at the discretion of the Chamber.
• Members on installment plans must adhere to agreed payment schedules; late payments may result in additional fees or cancellation.

Membership Benefits

• Benefits of membership are contingent upon full payment of dues and are non-transferable.

Privacy Policy

Information Collection

• Proud of Wichita, Inc. collects personal information such as name, email address, phone number, payment details, and demographic information, including gender identity, sexual orientation, and minority business status, when you interact with our services. We also collect business-related information specifically for the LGBTBE® certification process. All collected information is handled with strict confidentiality, adhering to applicable privacy laws and industry best practices.
• We also collect non-personal information such as browser type, IP address, and website activity for analytics purposes.

Use of Information

• Personal information is used to provide services, manage membership, and communicate relevant updates.
• Non-personal information is used to improve website functionality and member experiences.

Data Sharing

• Proud of Wichita, Inc. does not sell or share personal information with third parties, except as required by law, to fulfill services through trusted vendors, or as necessary to facilitate LGBTBE® certification. Data shared with the NGLCC for certification purposes is handled in compliance with strict confidentiality agreements. Information collected during the LGBTBE® certification process is securely stored and used solely for certification and related services.

Security

• We employ industry-standard measures to protect your information. However, no method of electronic transmission is 100% secure.

Your Rights

• Members may access, update, or delete their personal information by contacting the Chamber.
• Members may opt out of marketing communications at any time.

Acceptance of Terms

• By using proudofwichita.org, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, discontinue use of the site immediately. Use of the member directory is restricted to professional networking and may not be used for solicitation or commercial activities outside of Chamber-related purposes. Online event registration requires accurate and complete information, and cancellations must be communicated prior to event deadlines for potential refunds. Member-posted content, including job listings, must comply with the Chamber's standards of professionalism and inclusivity. Content violating these standards may be removed at the Chamber’s discretion.

Intellectual Property

• All content, including text, graphics, and logos, is the property of Proud of Wichita, Inc. and may not be used without written consent. The Chamber’s logos and digital materials may only be used in accordance with explicit guidelines provided by the organization. Unauthorized use, alteration, or distribution of these assets is strictly prohibited and may result in legal action.

Prohibited Conduct

• Users may not:
• Post unlawful or offensive content.
• Use the site to engage in unauthorized commercial activities.
• Attempt to disrupt website operations.

Disclaimer of Liability
